CE Level 2 is the highest independent safety rating for motorcycle impact armor. It requires independent laboratory testing. The armor must absorb a minimum of 80% of impact energy across repeated strikes. CE Level 1 only requires 35%.

It means the armor has been independently tested to absorb and disperse impact forces beyond what CE Level 1 requires. Most "moto-style" fashion pants carry no certification at all. These do - and it's documented.
